Short URL guide

1. Visit the VRL.KR home page.

2. Enter the URL you want to shorten (https:// can be omitted).

3. Press 'Shorten'.

With an account you also get link management, click analytics, custom aliases, and expiry dates.

1. Sign in and open the dashboard.

2. Click the statistics icon next to the link.

Available statistics: total clicks, daily trend, countries, devices and browsers, referrers.

After shortening, open the 'QR code' tab on the result card. Download it as PNG or SVG.

For print, the vector SVG format is recommended.

Signed-in members can enter an alias when shortening (e.g. vrl.kr/my-custom-url).

Rules: letters, digits, hyphens (-) and underscores (_), 3–30 characters, no reserved words or aliases already in use.

By default there is no expiry and links work indefinitely.

Members can set an expiry date or a maximum click count so the link deactivates automatically.

Links may be blocked when malware, phishing, spam, copyright infringement, or other Terms of Service violations are confirmed.

A link that expired because of your own settings can be reactivated by extending the expiry date in the dashboard.

For links blocked for policy violations, contact [email protected] and we will review the case.

Only http/https URLs can be shortened; vrl.kr self-references, localhost, private IP addresses, and blocked domains are rejected.

Every link can be previewed first (vrl.kr/preview/code), and reported links are reviewed and blocked when necessary.

1. Enter the short URL in the 'Report URL' section at the bottom of the home page.

2. Choose a reason (malware, phishing, spam, copyright infringement, other).

3. Add details and an optional reply email, then submit.

Reports are reviewed and links are blocked immediately when necessary. If you left an email, we will inform you of the outcome.
